6 Million People Are Displaced In Nigeria-Federal Commissioner National Commission For Refugees, Migrants, And IDPs

The Federal Commissioner, of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Honorable Ahmed Aliyu Tijjani has disclosed that no fewer than six million internally Displaced Persons, migrants, and refugees are under the care of the commission.
Tijjani Aliyu, a onetime Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government gave the hint during the 2024 graduation ceremony of Aliyu Bello Charity Foundation Educational Empowerment Program In Support of Orphans, Less Privilege and Internally Displaced Persons, an event held at Taal Conference hotel, Lafia recently.
The headship of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons eulogies the holistic effort of the State Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Aliyu Bello for being supportive to the less privileged in the society.
“This Charity foundation has been a solid fortress for the downtrodden in the society”.
Urging the founder to keep the tempo as he promised to partner the foundation in all ramifications.
Ahmed Aliyu Tijjani during the event donates 100 sets of desk, chairs and school bags to primary school pupils as well donate N1,000,000 m to the foundation.
He however applauded the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule for partnering security for the citizenry as well as for the enhancement of education and infrastructure.
He, in addition, thanked the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule for approving the construction of a three-kilometre township road in Loko, his country home in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
The State Chairman of the APC in the State during his remark expressed concern over the way and manner even the well-to-do in the society are requesting slots from the foundation, Saying the effort is blocking the chances of the hapless in the society, Urging the people to unite by complementing the giant stride of the State Governor.
The founder of the Charity Foundation reeled out that the foundation also accord premium to health care, Girl-child education and skills acquisition.
Aliyu Bello in addition explained that his Charity Foundation is out to providing basic education to tertiary level, Calling on politicians and the well to do to invest immensely towards the advancement of education.
Aliyu Bello also commended the Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial district, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada for his continued support at all times as well applauded the Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and IDP’s, Ahmed Aliyu Tijjani for providing 100 sets of desk, chairs and school bags to primary school pupils as well donation of One million naira to the foundation.
He commended the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi for the support given to the foundation in terms of giving automatic slut to qualified candidates during admission.
Aliyu Bello however eulogies the creme de ‘ la creme that attended the 2024 event despite their tight schedules, Adding that for thirteen years he has been providing such service to humanity, especially the Girl-child, Women Empowerment Program.
He said the vision of the foundation is to establish a basic education to the tertiary level.
During the event, The foundation brought succor to 151 health students of the College of Nursing Science, Lafia, Sidi Bage College of Health Technology, Lafia N20, 000 each while 300 students benefited with National Examination Council free registration and 800 free Joint Admission and Matriculation Board forms.
The Coordinator, Aliyu Bello Charity Foundation, Educational Empowerment Program, Baban Soro Dalhatu in his speech said the foundation is one amongst many foundations.
