5 Persons Killed, 12 Injured In Bauchi Auto Crash

Five persons were on Saturday killed in an auto crash in Kili village of Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Sector Commander, Yusuf Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident said the accident which occurred around 1:37 pm, involved one Toyota Hiace Hummer bus and a Peugeot Boxer.

He said four people were unscathed while 12 others were seriously injured.

Abdullahi attributed the cause of the crash to speed violation and dangerous driving.

”The corpse of the deceased had been evacuated to the General Hospital, Darazo, for deposition in the Morgue.”

He advised road users to be conscious of traffic rules and regulations while plying the roads and urged vehicle owners and drivers to ensure they have good tyres and make routine vehicle maintenance while driving.
