3 INEC Adhoc Staff Arrested For 202 Missing Voters Card In Jigawa By Umar Faruq Usman,Dutse

Three Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Staff were arrested in Jigawa in connection with missing 202 voters card in Tunukutara Ward of Gandun Sarki Quaters of Malam Madori Local Government Area of Jjigawa State. The INEC Staff were arrested during the recent voter’s registration exercise being done in some parts of the country.
The state Commandant of the Civil Defense Alhaji Muhammed Gidado disclosed this as he added that the suspects are Zaharadden Baita , Malam Ibrahim,  Umar Musa Yau all Of Gandun Sarki Area.
The suspects which are ad hoc staff of INEC were arrested following tip off by the electoral officers at Malam Madori Local Government area, as he added that the suspects will soon be arraigned  before the court of law to serve as deterrent to others in the country.
When contacted the state INEC Commissioner in charge of Jigawa state Alhaji Ibrahim Bagobiri about the incidence he confirmed the story but he said that only one ad hoc staff was arrested but assured that 202 voters card that are missing will be found.

He added also that only one person was arrested and that 375 voters card was given to the adhoc staff meanwhile also the PRO of the commission Malam Umar said that INEC has ordered all the adhoc staff in all the 27 local council in the state to report  to INEC headquarters  before 4.00PM
