No fewer than 250 supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa state has denounced their membership of the party to the opposition party in Obi Local Government.
The leader of the defectors, Yakubu Dogara Musa speaking on behalf of the decampees alleges that the APC is just a club not a political party that lacks bearing.
Saying the ruling party succeeded in plunging the state into chaos, calling on people of the area to vote massively for the PDP.
The governor candidate in his address appealed to PDP supporters to bicker the APC supporter.
“Anywhere you come into contact with any APC followers stone them, said Yusuf Muhammed Agabi”.
Appealing to PDP supporters to turn out en masses to vote the party from Houses of Assembly to President.
Chief Yunana Iliya,The state chairman of the party who was in the forefront yarning for change of government in the state attributed the wanton conflict in the state to the negligence of the incumbent administration to ushered in a new lease of life to the people.
Iliya said education sector under governor Al-Makura was at the pangs of collapsing, other challenges of the APC government in the state also include insecurity.
“Is no longer news that people of Obi and other communities sleep with their eye close, People sleep with one eyes open in fear of the unknown”.
He lament the decay in the judicial system, He however gave hopes that peace would return to the crisis prone state if the PDP reclaim the state come next month general election.
