219 Civil Servants Retire From Service In Jigawa

A total of 219 civil servants in Jgawa state, local government, and LEA has retired from service between September to November.

This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary Jigawa State and Local Government Contributory Pension Board Alhaji Munkaila Aliyu shortly after the payment of the retirees while discussing with newsmen in his office today.

The secretary said the state government has spent the sum of N498, 467,684.16 as payment for the beneficiaries.

According to the secretary, a total of 55 people working under the state government retired and received their benefits amounting to N201, 232,621.09 while 30 staff of local government also retired and received the sum of N46, 025,490. 85, for the local education authorities 78 people who retired were paid the sum of N175, 055,738.72 which makes a total of 163 people who retired and received the sum of N422, 313,850.66 million.

The secretary further explained that those who died in active service their families received their benefits in which a total of 33 people benefited and the sum of N57,196,085.44 was paid to them.
