214 Councillorship Aspirants Vying For Position Undergo Screening Under Plateau APC

The Financial Secretary of APC Ustaz Alh Ibrahim has confirmed that a total of 214 councillorship Aspirants were screened in preparation ahead of the Local Government Election.

Speaking to Journalists during the ongoing screening exercise held at Ken Hotel Jos North, Ustaz Ibrahim said they commenced the screening to authenticate the number of aspirants vying for chairmanship and councillorship position.

He refuted allegations that they APC are responsible for the shifting of the election date and conduct of party primaries in the state.

Meanwhile, Councillorship Aspirant of Jenta Adamu ward in Jos North Local Government Area, Mr. David Odo Musa decried the level of infrastructural neglect in Jenta Adamu ward where residents cannot enjoy good road network.

He said,”I have seen the need in our community but spirited individuals like we cannot do it alone, but I feel that I can fix it up with the support of APC government if given the opportunity to serve “.

Musa noted that deplorable roads, lack of drinking water and absence of social facilities had attracted him to join politics with his little help of grading, digging and fixing of potholes as well as the building of culverts need mainstream full participation.

Musa lamented that the rate of unemployed youths in Jenta Adamu ward calls for urgent government intervention to provide skills acquisition or vocational training that will make them productive to themselves and their immediate community.

He commended the members of the screening committee for their commitment and transparency in ensuring that all aspirants vying for chairmanship and councillorship position went through the screening process.

Musa expressed confidence in the leadership of PLASIEC ahead of the forthcoming LG election in Plateau state and promised to deliver on his campaign promises to the people if elected.
