2027: Forum of Former Elected And Political Appointees From Doma LG Call On Deputy Governor To Contest For Nasarawa South Senate Seat

At the weekend,forum of former elected Councillors and Supervisory Councillors from Doma L.G has called on the State Deputy Governor,Dr.Emmanuel Akabe to Join the contest for Nasarawa South Senatorial zone come 2027.
The Chairman of the forum and the former Deputy Chairman,Hon.Simon Osokunu Atukpa, welcomed former elective officials from 1999 to date in an opening remark, saying the forum’s objective remains the same as discussed during the maiden meeting.
Atukpa buttressed that the forum was overwhelmed with the ideology of the Deputy Governor, who proved to them that he is a pragmatic and visionary leader.
Adding that the Forum should be at the forefront of supporting and convincing the Deputy Governor to vie for the exalted seat of senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial zone of the State.
He in addition disclosed that in the political history of Nasarawa State,It is only Dr.Emmanuel Akabe that serves twice as Deputy Governor,Saying his choice by the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule was not farfetched to his commitment and determination as a loyal Deputy Governor.
At the climax of the meeting,A member of the Forum,Hon.Otukpa,A former elected Councillor representing Akpanaja electorate Ward move a motion of whether the decision to support the State Deputy Governor,Dr.Emmnuel Akabe was an overwhelmed voice of the members and was supported by a former female legislator,Hon.Blessing Osede.
The Local Government Council Chairman,Hon.Jonathan Okuba Addra who represented the Deputy Governor thanked the leadership of the forum for organizing such a historic event calling on the State Deputy Governor to Join the race.
“The time for him to show interest is now,He however revealed that he would deliver their message to his boss without any delay,As one piece of office bill was handed over to the Chairman for onward delivery to the Deputy Governor.
The State Legal Adviser to the ruling party,The All Progressives Congress (APC),Bar.Oboshi Ogu in an exclusive interview with selected Journalists expressed delight over the project, saying is timely for the support to start from the Deputy Governor’s country-home.
“The called by the forum is a good one, Saying the Deputy Governor had proved to be a dedicated service , loyal servant, man of integrity “.
Also speaking shortly after the meeting, The financial Secretary of the forum, Prince. Abubakar Engya opined that supporting the Deputy Governor for Senate seat is not an exercise in futility rather a decision at the right direction.
Hon. Ahmed Dogara,a former Councillor representing Madauci Electoral ward in an interview, said Dr. Emmanuel Akabe is a tested and trusted leader in all ramifications.
