2023: Defection: Why Bauchi Aspirant Dumped PDP, Obtains NNPP Membership Card

Honorable Philip Bulus Garkuwan Matasan Arewa who was an aspirant in the state assembly race under the banner of the people Democratic party PDP in Bogoro constituency has dumped the party, obtains New Nigerian Peoples party NNPP membership card in Bauchi State.

Philip alleged that the party stakeholders have imposed and changed the real name of the delegates and replaced them with fictitious ones hence his reason to pulled out from the party PDP to join NNPP describing it as a shambolic and fraudulent act.

This was contained in a letter dated the 22nd day of May 2023 respectively addressed and conveyed to the ward party chairman Mr. Andarawus Ayuba at Mwari, Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

According to Philip, said “He has joined the NNPP to deliver the good people of Bogoro constituency from the crutches of the forces that have held the constituency down”,

“My commitment for rescuing our constituency to remains firm even if the route differs,” said Philip.

The Universal reporters gathered that Philip decamped alone side with thousands of his PDP supporters who were aggrieved by the lack of the internal democracy in the party “,

It was also gathered that different political parties have been visiting him in his residence for him to defect to their parties.
