The Nasarawa State chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Francis Orogu has assured party supporters of the landslide victory of the party come 2019.

The chairman disclosed this while addressing the mammoth crowd that welcome him to the state 24 hours after the declaration of the apex court (Supreme Court) declared Mohammed Markarfi as the substantive chairman of the party.

He assured party members that the People’s Democratic Party would spring surprises come 2019, he further said the party would change the change.

“The APC has no chance in 2019 with what we are experiencing today”.

Saying the window has been blocked with the verdict of the Supreme Court adding that the ruling of the Apex court has given Nigerians a new position and a new democracy.

The chairman condemned the verbal attacked on social media by supporters of the All Progressives Congress as an affront on the personality of opposition.

He also condemned the recent position of the state governor to arrest and prosecutes people criticizing the led-APC government in the state.

“We are in state where politicians and oppositions were not allowed to view their opinions or voice out”.

Assuring members that impunity would be reduced to the barest minimum for the party to forge ahead, he maintained that the party would maintain the power sharing and rotation.

“Power sharing and rotation will every party of the state to taste power”.

Orogu thanked party supporters for the support and commitment they accorded him.

He also appreciated Journalists in the state for been supportive; he further extended his appreciation to the Nigeria Police, the Civil Defence and other security agencies for providing enabling atmosphere for the rally in the state capital.

The rally which started at the College of Agriculture, Lafia witnessed the presence of creme de la’ creme of the party cause heavy traffic jam for the road users.
