A 16-year-old Miss Ijeoma Okoye Precious, secondary school graduate of the famous Federal Government Academy (FEDACAD), Suleja, with an A1s in all of the 9 subjects, she had sat for, is seeking for support to pursue highier education.
Information gathered from the FEDACAD, Principal Muhammad Manko, revealed that in all subjects students of the college have recorded success of 286A1s, 119B2s as well as 317B3s, out of which Ijeoma made A1s in all of the 9 subjects.
It was gathered that 109 students of the Academy have made 100% Credit Pass in a subject including Mathematics and English.
“One of the highlight of the college’s result is that Okoye Ijeoma Precious made A1 in all her 9 subjects,” he said.
According to the principal Ijeoma Okoye had done wonderfully well since she was admitted to the college through thorough screening into JSS1.
“She dominated the college award presentation during the 2016 valedictory ceremony in July this year,” Manko said. “She was among the four students in the Pan African Youth leadership programme in the United States of America organized by an American non-governmental Organization, the Meridian International Centre and sponsored by the Department of State, USA (2015).”
He said though Miss Okoye has currently gained admission and she is studying Pharmacy at the University of Nigeria Nsuka, her hope is to gain support to study in either Europe or USA.
On her part Miss Okoye told Universal reporters that she was so happy that her result was so impressive and had earned her admission into University of Nigeria Nsuka, on the sponsorship of her parents, who are not well to do, adding that she would like to study abroad.
She said: “I got admission at University of Nigeria Nsuka, and I am studying Pharmacy, my parents are the ones sponsoring me, they don’t have much money but thank God they are managing.”
The student appealed to well meaning Nigerians to support her quest for quality education.
Miss Okoye stressed that she was luckily picked for possible scholarship award by the US embassy and; “I had gone for the scholarship examination which I am hoping that I will pass.”
She advised other students to really read and work hard, for them to be able to achieve successes in their studies, adding that she appreciates her former Principal and all teachers of the Academy.
