2015 Presidential Election: Group Earmarks N19.5 Million To Obtain Nomination Form For Jonathan
Ahead of the 2015 Presidential Election, a political group, House to House Organisation, which is working for President Jonathan’s re-election in 2015 yesterday said it has budgeted N19.5 million to buys the nomination form for President Jonathan as soon as he made his intentions to run for the office of President in 2015.
Director General of the Organisation, Ogidi Bara mae the disclosure when the organisation paid a courtesy call on the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Wale Oladipo, in Abuja on Tuesday.
Speaking he said; “We have saved about N19.5 million to purchase nomination form for President Jonathan once he declares.”
According to Mr. Bara he said his organisation was ready to go from “house to house, wife to husband and do everything possible to sensitise the people on why Jonathan should continue”.
In his response Mr. Oladipo said; “PDP stands for progress and the transformation agenda of this present administration must be taken to the end. We know that our leader, the President represents stability, he knows that [his] enormous power has to be exercised with moderation and a sledge hammer should not be used to kill a fly.”
The PDP National Secretary said; “APC as far as I know is a drug that has been banned all over. The name also means Armoured Personnel Carrier, which is synonymous to violence. Our party (PDP) is not a party where a single man will sit in Lagos and decree who will be next governor. We follow due process and do the needful.”
