Immediate Past Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General in Nasarawa State, Hon.Innocent Lagi who joined the Labour party, has declared to run for the office of Governorship in Nasarawa State, under the Labour Party.
Declaring today in Wamban Kurim in Wamban Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, the former Commissioner said, I joined the race to design a better future for a Nasarawa state of our dream .
When asked about whether he formally decamp from the party he served as commissioner of Justice, Hon Innocent Lagi averred that he remains a member of Labour party up to this moment.
On the issue of education in the state, he promised to ensure a total rejuvenation of the education which is at a driver seat.
“I was nominated as a commissioner under the APC unconditionally and I left unconditionally serving under Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura,” he said.
When asked why the report of the Judicial Commission of Enquiry on the Alakyo and other matters related to it was not implemented, he said that was due to lack of political will as there was disagreement between the stakeholders concerned such Ewuga, Al-Makura and others.
