2000 Bauchi Stranded Intending Pilgrims Airlifted

Top Brass Airline and Max Air, this year’s carriers for Bauchi state pilgrims to Saudi Arabia have so far airlifted the stranded two thousand and thirty intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

Speaking to our reporter at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Bauchi shortly after the take-off of the seventh flight of the state pilgrims, the Executive Secretary, state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Aliyu Suleman disclosed that the last flight will live Bauchi by four o’clock next Tuesday morning.

Alhaji Aliyu Suleman who apologized to the pilgrims for the delay experienced in their airlift, assured those in the remaining two flights that adequate arrangements were made by the board to ensure their successful airlift.

The Executive Secretary said Basic Travelling Allowances and Passports for pilgrims of flight – eight would be distributed today while the intending pilgrims are expected to be conveyed to the Airport tomorrow Monday by six o’clock.

He called for patience and understanding from the pilgrims for the overall success of the exercise.

Also speaking, the State Amirul Hajj and Emir of Bauchi Alhaji Rilwanu Suleman Adamu, enjoined the intending pilgrims to refrain from spreading rumor and support the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to appear at the hajj camp whenever they  are called.

Alhaji Rilwanu Adamu called on the pilgrims to be law abiding and respect constituted authorities for the success of the exercise.

In the meantime, a staff of Max Air who pleaded anonymity has assured the readiness of the carrier to complete the airlift of the state pilgrims by next Tuesday as earlier arranged.

According to him, the Airline will airlift pilgrims of the eighth and ninth flights between Monday and Tuesday of this week.

Two thousand eight hundred and forty two intending pilgrims are expected to perform this years’ hajj from the state in Saudi Arabia.
