18 Year-Old Man Allegedly Murdered By Neighborhood Vigilante In Jos By Yakubu Busari Jos

An Eighteen year-old man was yesterday murdered by suspected Plateau state Local vigilante in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state.
The man who was 18 was murdered in front of his parent’s house at Dutse Uku, a suburb of Jos North before 9:00pm.
Hon. Mohammed Abubakar a onetime counsellor  who confirmed the incident disclosed that the members of vigilante around 9 pm on patrol to the area came to the deceased compound and attacked the boy with knife.
He said the vigilante group have been terrorizing the residents of the area for a very long time by attacking and causing unnecessary panic to the people of Dutse Uku .
Abubakar appealed to security agencies in the state to put in measures that will help in reducing crime in the area.
He explained further that there is high rate of unemployed youths roaming about doing nothing,  I am  calling on the  federal and state to establish vocational skill acquisitions  in the affected community to help reduce army of jobless youth.
The Commissioner of Police Plateau State Command, CP Nasiru Oki also warned against any movement that is capable of bridging the peace of the state especially in a period of electioneering campaign.
He urged parents to caution their children to be aware of the existing ban on Okada and involvement in public gathering.

The PPRO DSP Emmanuel Abuh disclosed this on behalf of the command. He said over 500 hotels within the state capital have been reserve for Adhoc staffs of INEC for the forthcoming general elections.
