The University of Jos has confirmed that Hon Ibrahim Baba Hassan was genuine graduate of the university in 1997.
Hassan a who is a sitting member and a former deputy speaker was petitioned to the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase by his political opponent Jemilu Baba seeking for his arrest alleging that he forged his Diploma certificate to contest for an election under the APC Jos North, North constituency.
However, following petition of his political opponent Alh Jemilu Baba the Plateau State Police Commissioner sought for clearance for the authority of the University of Jos whose response has confirmed the eligibility.
However, stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state have gathered to brainstorm on how to strengthen the party loyalties and progress of members.
Addressing the supporters at Grey klings intercontinental suite the former deputy pledged his readiness to work with all the members of the party from local government level down to wards.
The secretary of Local Government refuted the allegation of certificate forgery as not true as they threatened to take legal action against those who are plotting to bring Hon. Hassan Baba down.
The supporters called on the members to continue the good work of building the party but stressed that nobody should distract him.
They appeal that the member should focus on meaningful development that will attract both Christian and Muslim together for peace to reign.
They condemned those who are planning to cause confusion in the party to stay clear and remind themselves of the task of building progress.
Hassan expressed shock that the little delay was to meet with Gov Lalong and he appreciated the supporters and pledged tolerance and forgiveness of those detractors.
“I got all my certificates here in Plateau state starting from Hill crest, Command secondary to University of Jos, so I don’t believe them because their plan is to divide APC .
He maintained that he has been a member of APC from the beginning to date, I can decide to contest for governorship in 2019 but nobody can stop me.
It is you I’m representing so no one can plan to cause confusion in the party, I have just started politics until the end of my life, he stressed.
