The Inability to purchase a Hijab for a 14 old girl by her parents led the girl to hang herself to death at Maizogale village in Shuwarin District of Kiyawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The Jigawa State Police Spokesman SP Abdu Jinjiri who confirmed the story explained that the deceased girl Faiza Mustapha demanded that her father buys a Hijab for her for the Mouloud ceremony, a request which the father didn’t carry out.
Jinjiri said a Good Samaritan in the area discovered her corpse in the bush and quickly informed the police.
The Police added that the corpse has been taken to Dutse General Hospital for Autopsy, following the doctor’s confirmation that the girl was dead.
Jinjri said there was no sign in her body that shows that she was killed by someone, while he said that the Police are still doing their best to find what led to her hanging herself.
