$2.1 Arms Fraud : Fear Grip Politicians As NSA’s Office Is Set To Publish Names of Firms Who Had Refused To Make Refunds

More startling revelations has emerged from the ongoing probe of the $2.1 billion arms procurement fund fraud as big time politicians this medium are linked with companies and firms that collected money and didn’t deliver any arms.

Universalreporters247.com gathered that the total numbers of firms that are affected are 29 and the contracts they collected without execution ranges between 5-8 billion naira per firm, making a total of over N300 billion naira.

A source inside the committee chaired by the NSA revealed to this medium that most companies couldn’t defend their submissions and were therefore ordered to make refund.

It was also gathered by this medium that most companies are yet to make the refund, this therefore has forced the committee to warn the firms of the NSA’s office possibility of publishing the names of the politicians said to be owners of the said companies.

The committee has discovered that the firms are owned by ex-ministers, Senators and top sympathizers of then ruling PDP.

The committee has also discovered that the firms belonging to these politicians simply handed over the money to these politicians, fund the last general election.

As at the time of filling in this report, the companies are running to strike an understanding with the committee.

But a source within the committee said; we will soon publish names of the companies, the amount they are supposed to refund and the politicians behind those companies.”

“They have enough time, but they think they can bribe us, we will shock them,” the source concludes.

It would be recalled that the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, recently set up committee to audit the procurement of arms and equipment in the Armed Forces and defence sector from 2007 to 2015.
