13 Dead, 32 Injured  In A Road Accident In Ringim LGA, Jigawa State

13 killed and 32 people’s wounded as a result of motor accident involving, a trailer truck with registration no TAR 357 XA Jigawa State,  loaded with  fifty three ’53’ passengers, and cows as well as many  goats from Maigatari LGA  heading to Lagos State, driven by one Babangida Mohammed ‘m’ age 28yrs of Azare LGA, Bauchi State which  had an accident.

The unfortunate incident was happened when the said Driver lost  control on reaching a point called Kwanar Shafar Ringim Area, as a result, the vehicle fell and over turned.

A team of Policemen rushed to the scene on rescue mission. Thirteen ’13’ person namely;

1_ Sani Alh Ado ‘m’ age 25yrs,

2_ Saleh Yusuf ‘m’ age 53yrs,

3_ Aminu Mohammed ‘m’ age 35yrs,

4_ Haruna Maigari ‘m’ age 20yrs,

5_ Haruna Ubali ‘m’ age 25yrs,

6_ Abdurrazak Lauwali ‘m’ age 30yrs, all of Maigatari LGA Jigawa State

7_ Abdulmutallib Hamza ‘m’ age 20yrs of Kaugama LGA Jigawa State,

8_ Anas Ibrahim ‘m’ age 35yrs of Gidan Maza village Garki LGA Jigawa State,

9_ Naziru Khalid ‘m’ age 30yrs of Gabasawa LGA Kano State,

10_ Nuraddeen Mohammed ‘m’ age 25yrs of Dangora Dingas Niger Republic, and other three ‘3’ that are yet to be identified were confirmed Dead.

In the same vein, about thirty two ’32’ persons were conveyed to Ringim General Hospital for treatment, in which out of the four ‘4’ persons;

1_ Adamu Gagare ‘m’ age 30yrs of Maigatari LGA,

2_ Ado Habu ‘m’ age 20yrs, of Kaugama LGA,

3_ Rabiu Ibrahim ‘m’ age 35yrs of Machina LGA Yobe State,

4_ Arma Idris ‘m’ age 40yrs of Dokin Fulani Baban Mutum Katsina State, were referred to Rashid Shekoni Teaching Hospital, Dutse for further treatment.

The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida, condoled with the deceased families and pray for the Injured. He  stated that, Jigawa State is blessed with good roads, people should try to avoid over speed,  overtaking, overload phone calls, while driving. He also added that people always have a habit of  checking their tyres, brake and other essential parts, and ensure that, they sleep well before getting to their vehicles.
