A  Southern Plateau group has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to call the Minister of Youth to order over breach of protocol and abuse of power.

Spokesman of the group Mr Sule Dandam who spoke to Journalists in Plateau state over the recent report in national daily, condemned the action.

The group  described the entrance of the Minister to the Goemai day celebration held at Shendam on the December 26, 2015 as breech of the governor’s protocol.

According to the group the Minister arrived very late while the program was about rounding up and brought about distraction.

The group raised concern that the use of siren was considered a breach of protocol and when he arrived; his siren blazing cars continued blaring even to the extent of distracting the program while he has already sat down for the program.

Sources said the Governor’s security had to talk to the Minister’s drivers before they put off the sirens.

The Director of Press Affairs to the Governor Simon Lalong and SSA Mr Mark Longyen refuted the report as sensational which was carried out by online and some media from the angle they read it.

They both stressed that the action of the Minister was a total breech of protocol for arriving late when the governor has already read his speech and requesting to make his own.

According to Longyen the speech read by the governor is the final and employing village thugs to cause chaos and confusion at the scene during the launching as a deliberate plot to bring crisis in the state.

He advised Journalists to always check and balance their information before going to press.

Longyen reiterated that for the Minister to accuse Lalong of refusing him audience to visit is a condemnable act in the manner that he has to attack each other in a public gathering.

He noted that he hope the state will not have another experience of  Dariye versus Sango relationship in Plateau state.

According Solomon Dalung foundation they said he doesn’t have any problem with Lalong, as they added that is just left for the governor to play his card right or else he will blame nobody but himself in 2019.
