Officials of Jang’s Administration Who Looted Plateau Treasury Has No Hiding Place, We Shall Capture Them One By one- Lalong

The Plateau state government has reaffirmed its determination to follow state treasury looters through anti corruption war of the All Progressive Congress( APC) one by one in their hideout. Governor Simon Lalong stressed that he will  leave  no stone unturned toward ensuring that all officials of the immediate past administration who looted the People’s commonwealth and bequeathed a near failed state has no hiding place.

According to him, “the APC government  is  working  to ensure that all funds stolen from the state and country at large   is refunded ”

He stated this on the occasion of his investiture as Change Pathfinder Governor of the Year 2015 by the Plateau state social Media community held at the hill station hotel conference hall.

Represented by the Commissioner of Special Duties , Hon Hitler Dadi , also said   he would partner and identify with the media in all its activities , policies and programmes, by deliberating taking steps towards ensuring a continuous interface with the media and running an open and transparent government , in order to carry the media along “.

On resumption of office “, I enjoined both the traditional and social mass media , to join hands with us to expand the frontiers of development in our dear state and pledged that government would continue to cooperate with you at all times and this I would continue to do ”

“Government is not unaware of the fact that the social media platform which, according to the Nigerian communications Commission, NCC today commands an impressive figure of one hundred and forty million users, is without doubt, a very veritable and viable platform for multi face ted forms of online media interaction among the citizenry, especially the youths, which cannot be taken for granted.

“Our government has assembled a team of media veterans, whose track records are second to none in the print, electronic, private, and modern multimedia generally, in order to midwife its information management gauntlet and one can only expect the best performances from them”

The governor also said, “I would like to urge the media, especially the social media to embrace developmental Journalism and shun sensational reportage that does no one any good but rather fan the embers of violence, which only succeeds in antagonizing our hard earned peace efforts, thereby making all of us victims in the long run “.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to Governor Lalong , Mr Mark Longyen said the governor is on a divine mission to rescue Plateau”.

“Our governor is a man who has the interest of the state at heart. Lalong believes in accountability and he is a Youth friendly governor.

“I am calling on citizens of the state to support the governor in order for him to continue to provide the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

He commended the Plateau social media community for honouring the governor with the investiture as the Change Pathfinder governor of the year.
